From power surges due to electrical storms, to motherboards that are destroyed by a virus, data stored on computers face a number of risks. If you are in an organization that has a lot of data stored on computers, minimizing the risk of data loss becomes an integral aspect of office functioning. This would require you to develop a data recovery plan, if for some reason, you lose your data. It is recommended to keep making backups of the stored data to prepare for the possibility of loss. Many a time, we take it upon ourselves to try and repair drives that give trouble. Avoid doing this as you might lose even more data. Instead of that, get an expert to come and take a look.
